What Does A Life Look Like In 100 Photos A Day?

This is a one year long art project - to track my life in 100 photos a day. My belief is that 100 photos will allow you too see the world through my eyes for one year. To document a life in photos will offer a year to never be forgotten.

You can find the most recent photos here. You can also look at the photos on yoyojoe’s flickr.

Why 100? 100 seems like a number that I cannot just cull the bad photos - I must include photos that are not of the top quality, or start to take better pictures. Some days the photos will be better, some days worse. At the end of it all each day’s layout will be put into a book for the memories…

Let me know your thoughts, feel free to let me know what you think about the idea…

Are you crazy with the pictures????
Wow, that’s a huge undertaking for you, good luck with that. Some neat pictures however!!!!
I’ll try to pop in from time to time but it takes forever just to view one day of 100 pictures. Have fun and I hope you don’t run out of things to take pictures of.
    Have a great day.

    Hullo Joe,

It was lovely to meet you at the Recreation and Leisure show (I was the one in the green shirt who spoke rather quickly if somewhat vacantly).
Now that I’ve caught my breath, canned the sales persona and can mentally concentrate on the differences between John E. Pearce and Pearce Williams (very polite of you not to say) and no tobogganing and no trespassing I thought I’d drop by to check out your site. I have the dastardly dial up though at 48kbps and think I will have to browse your pictures from the relative Internet speedway at the public library.
I’ve left my blogger address if you’re interested in a few bird pics. I have some lovely eagles on my personal blog but as I said I won’t inflict my prose on you.
    Cheers.

Wow, 100 a day! That’s a mighty tall order. I’m curious about the logistics. Are you going to take one every 20-mins regardless of what you’re doing? How many cameras are you going to have on deck or are you doing it with a camera phone? This is a fantastic idea.

Here are some answers to your questions Dave - I’m not timing them to be evenly spread out - I just need to get 100 in every day. I might try a day of the every 14 minutes and 24 seconds to see how it goes - but getting up at night is not very appealing…
I’m using one camera as my main camera (Lumix DMC-FZ20) and have my old camera (Fujifilm FinePix 2800 Zoom) to back me up. I haven’t used my camera phone or palm pilot yet - but I could if I need to.

The goal is to get 100 photos that are somewhat representative of what I did that day. Some days are easier than others. Let me know if there are any other things you would like to know…
