What does a life look like in 100 photos a day?

yoyo I am really loving the light box – a great way to make my everyday objects look good.

Taking 100 photos everyday has lead to me looking at the world differently. I have read a couple of blogs about the activity of photo walking – taking the camera with you when you go for a walk and taking pictures of the things that you see.  Read about photowalking on Wikipedia or at Photowalking.org

Often in life I have found that we are removed from being where we are. I remember an experience from Lakehead. Walking to school in the winter in Thunder Bay is a challenge, but one that gets you awake in the morning. The difference between being a student in Thunder Bay and being a student in Florida is how you recognize your fellow students when walking to school. In Thunder Bay, with the cold weather, it is all about the jackets and what people wear. You learn very quickly to recognize people by their coats and snow pants. I found it frustrating to say hello to people walking on the other side of the street and have them not respond. They had themselves connected to their Walkman (before ipod’s).

Taking 100 photos a day, or walking with your camera, makes you look at things differently…and that is a good thing.

EyeWhat do you see?
