Yoyojoe – Born To Camp

At camp, as a director, I often wonder why something that worked in the past, fails another time.  If you have the same staff, the same groups involved – why wouldn’t it work a second time.

Sometimes what happens is that it is meant to work in that moment, and will work in that moment, but no matter what will never repeat itself in quite the same way.

It has taken me years to realize the truth of that last statement – more importantly to accept the statement as truth.

Perfection is an idea, not an ideal.
